Early Help Assessment Workshops

20th April 2018

 The Early Help Assessment has been refined to incorporate the Signs of Safety Framework, which looks at working WITH the family to identify and support strengths and worries, developing an effective plan of support which the family are able to achieve.  This workshop has been designed to look at this paperwork and how to effectively complete an Early Help Assessment, developing a SMART plan for families and the role of a lead professional in the process.


Aims of the workshop:

To explore the new Early Help Assessment paperwork and how to use the assessment to effectively support families


Workshop Learning Outcomes:


By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

      Explain the Early Help Assessment process and the role of the Lead Professional.

      Use a case study to describe how to use the SoS mapping to identify worry statements and wellbeing goals.

      Identify the importance of the voice of the child and young person in assessments and how to gain these.
