Christmas Toy Appeal

23rd October 2017

Last Christmas with the support of Rotherham people the Christmas Toy Appeal managed to reach and provide presents for over 1,000 children within the Rotherham area. The generosity of Rotherham people helped give the children presents to open on Christmas morning something they may not have been able to do.

Voluntary Action Rotherham, RotherFM, Parkgate Shopping and Rotherham United Football Club are once again backing this appeal, and with the help of volunteers we are hoping for a greater success this year.

Christmas is a time when Rotherham comes together to help Rotherham children less fortunate than many children. This appeal is something Rotherham can be proud of and by working together we can try to help even more families this year.

The launch of the appeal will be at Parkgate Shopping 13th November   6 – 7pm please come along as this is a chance to get together and listen to two local schools and the Salvation Army along with Alexandra Hands Vocal Academy  which I am sure will get you ready for the Christmas period. We have children singing and reindeers! Yes real ones (the children and the reindeers)

The last day for collection of toys is the 22nd December from a central location. If you could get the pro forma to staff who may wish to receive toys that would be great. Toys are allocated to workers who are then responsible for taking them to the families in question, they will not be wrapped but wrapping paper can be provided. (we prefer parents/carers to wrap the presents and to claim them as though they had purchased them)

If you need any further information or would like to donate new toys please contact Ann Levick on 01709 829821 or email

If you know of any children who would benefit from a gift please complete the attached pro-forma these need to be returned to ann at
