Domestic Abuse Gold Level Training

4th January 2017

The previous Domestic Abuse Module 3 Training Workshop (MARAC and Risk Assessment) has been revised and the new course is now available for delivery (dates listed below).  The course sits within the Bronze to Platinum Training Pathway for Domestic Abuse at GOLD Level and is titled ‘Domestic Abuse, Risk Assessment and MARAC Training (Gold Level).  The Bronze to Platinum Pathway is comprised of the following courses:

BRONZE Level – Awareness of Domestic Violence and Abuse – e learning module

SILVER Level – The Toxic Trio – Safeguarding Children and Child Mental Health

GOLD Level – Domestic Abuse, Risk Assessment and MARAC

It is strongly recommended that delegates undertake the BRONZE Level e learning module, available through the Local Authorities e Learning Portal (Virtual College) before attending the new GOLD level training.  Trainers will make an assumption that all delegates have accessed this.

Details of how to access Virtual College e-learning:

With the introduction of learning via Virtual College in 2015 we can now offer a more tailored approach to e-learning, You can opt to have the Directions team manage and administrate e-learning on your behalf and you then have 2 options as follows to register staff on e-learning

Staff can access a self registration facility whereby staff/carers/volunteers can create themselves an e-learning profile and this is accessed here:

Companies/Organisations with a large workforce can also opt to have the Directions team ‘bulk upload’ staff details rather than self registering. Please contact if you require a copy of the upload template

Staff (internal and external) who are already registered on Virtual College can access their e-learning here:
