Rotherham Community Transport

To provide transport for the benefit of the community including Door 2 Door transport for people with mobility difficulties and transport for community groups and organisations.

Rotherham Community Transport provides Personalised and Flexible Door 2 Door Transport for Children & Young People, Older People and people with physical and sensory disabilities living in the Rotherham area. As well as offering Dial-a-Ride services that can be booked by individuals to meet their everyday travel needs (trips to the shops, personal recreation, social or business travel) transport can be arranged on a regular basis to meet an individuals care needs.

Community Groups, Schools and Organisations can make regular or occasional bookings for local or longer journeys depending on their requirements. Other services provided by Community Transport include Home to School Transport for Children with Special Needs; transport to Day Care for people with Learning Disabilities or for Older People, transport to or from Respite Care and Patient Transport Services for the NHS.

Over 107,500 passenger journeys provided across a range of “Door 2 Door” Transport services  including Rotherham Dial-a-Ride, Home to School Transport, Day Care Transport for people with Physical and Sensory Disabilities, Services for Older People, links to Colleges, and transport for Schools or Community Groups
